- You have installed Ubuntu desktop
- You are using the nvidia-# proprietary driver
- There is a nvidia proprietary driver version available nvidia-#+1
- Install nvidia proprietary drivers
- Open a terminal
- $ sudo apt update
- $ sudo apt install nvidia-#+1 (where #+1 is the new version)
- $ reboot
- Check that the graphic card is using the propiertary nvidia driver
- Go to "Software & Updates" --> "Additional Drivers"
- Verify that nvidia is using nvidia driver from nvidia-#+1
- Open up some applications
- Applications should work properly
