As others, fallback to open source drivers does not happen resulting in a black screen

Test failed. After restart, Ubuntu ran in low-graphics mode. Reinstalling the nvidia-current driver failed.

Fallback Testing fails because it will not install the any open source driver. It appears the system is locked in low-graphics mode, and can not be changed.

The test failed when trying to reinstall the driver. Though after restart, the Nvidia driver is being used, the HW Driver window does NOT show that the driver is activated/used.

does not fall back to open source drivers. Runs in low graphics mode.
Fails to reinstall drivers.
After moving back the driver, it still runs in low graphics mode, but does allow re-installation of driver, and after reboot runs correctly.

As FoH. On reboot was able to select current, but does not seem to make much difference.
