Installed Maverick + updates. Downloaded and installed nVidia drivers from www.nvidia.com. Upgrade to Natty. There was no prompt to uninstall proprietary driver. After upgrade and reboot, X won't start.

The following message is found in Xorg.0.log:

This server has a video driver ABI version of 10.0 that is not supported by this NVIDIA driver. Please check http://www.nvidia.com/ for driver updates or downgrade to an X server with a supported driver ABI.
