I tested Blender 2.49 and 2.5 alpha 2, Unigine demos Tropics (32 bits through 32 libs) and Heaven (64 bits).

Everything seems to work so far, but compiz is quiet slow. I recommend to disable it by default for at least the radeon 5000 series.
